The college was established for the welfare of the weakest section of nation i.e. rural population. This is a pioneer ayurvedic college in Haryana to start Ayurved education. The college approved by NCISM/CCIM and Ministry of AYUSH Govt. of India New Delhi. This is one of institute of India that offers undergraduate course in BAMS with intake capacity of 60 seats.

The college has earned its reputation due to well equipped hospital with a central laboratory, pharmacy, herbal garden and dedicated faculty, library. This college has 14 departments.
